What the price is made of

Duration comes first. Almost every listing quotes an hourly rate, and everything else is calculated from it. The rest of the price is made up of things that are not visible in the number itself, and they are what separates two neighbouring listings by a wide margin.

The main factors are whether she travels to you or receives you at her place, the time of day, the day of the week, how long the meeting is and how far in advance it was agreed. Friday evening costs more than Tuesday afternoon, which is true of any city and is true here.

  • An hour at her place is the base rate that the others are counted from.
  • Travelling to your hotel or apartment usually costs more: it is the journey both ways plus time on top of the meeting.
  • An overnight stay is a separate rate rather than eight hourly rates, and it works out noticeably better per hour.
  • Short notice, late at night or in the next half hour is almost always more expensive than the same thing agreed in the morning.

Current figures for Yerevan

Exact numbers move, so we do not put them in an article. They live on the Yerevan price table, which is built from live listings: the minimum, the most common figure and the maximum for each duration, updated along with the catalogue.

The spread across an hour is wide, but the most common figure holds fairly steady, and that is the one to treat as normal. Listings below it are collected on the lower-priced page and listings above it on the higher-priced page.

Paying: drams, cash and extras

Prices are quoted in Armenian drams, written as AMD or with the փ sign. Cards are accepted widely in restaurants, bars and shops, but the money for a meeting is handed over in cash, so change money at an exchange office in town rather than at the airport, where the rate is worse.

Nobody here should ask you to transfer anything before the meeting. A deposit, a booking fee or money for her taxi is not a local custom and not an agency rule; it is the whole point of that particular conversation. Bring the agreed amount and nothing beyond it.

Some things sit outside the basic rate and are discussed on their own: a trip out of the city, accompanying you to an event, travel to another city. That is a different format in which the whole day is taken rather than an hour, not a mark-up. Taxis, dinner and entry to a venue are simply the cost of the evening and fall to whoever is doing the inviting, and so does her journey home.

Why an overnight rate is not eight hours

This surprises people more than anything else: an hour costs a certain amount and a whole night costs far less than eight times it. The reason has nothing to do with discounts. An hour also includes the journey, the messages, getting ready and the fact that nothing else can be taken on that evening. All of that is paid for once, whether the meeting lasts an hour or until morning.

So longer formats are almost always better value per hour. If you already know the evening will not fit into sixty minutes, it is cheaper and more straightforward to agree on the longer format up front than to extend as you go. Listings that quote an overnight rate are gathered on the overnight page.

When a low price is a bad sign

A price well below the rest of the market is almost never luck. Usually it means one of three things: the listing does not belong to the woman in the photographs, there is a middleman behind it who will add his share once you are there, or the conversation will turn to an advance payment and end.

A genuine discount looks different. She quotes her usual price and offers a condition herself, such as a weekday, daytime or a longer booking. It comes out of a conversation rather than out of a number in an advertisement.

How to talk about money

Once, in advance and in words. Before the meeting it should be clear how much, for how long, where and what that covers. Anything that has not been said is not part of the arrangement.

Haggling on the doorstep is the worst thing you can do. It puts someone in a position they cannot leave, and the evening is over before it starts. If the price does not suit you, say so in the messages.

The money is handed over at the start of the meeting, without reminders and without being counted out in front of her. It is a small thing, but it sets the tone for everything else.
